<br />Provisions for Operation and Maintenance <br /> <br />Local Interests must agree to maintain and operate the works after completion. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Local Interest and Support <br /> <br />Local residents are Interested In flood control throughout the basin but the only <br />concerted Interest Is along the maIn stem of the Little Nemaha below Brock. <br /> <br />Exlstlnq Resource Development In the Area <br /> <br />Browne I I Creek Watershed constructed by the Sol I Conservation Service for development and <br />demonstration of land conservation practices Is located In Brownel I Creek subbasin. Construction <br />has been initiated on Wi Ison Creek, Ziegler Creek, and Spring Creek Watersheds. <br />In addition to the above, districts have been organized In the subbasins of Upper Little <br />Nemaha, South Branch and Lower Little Nemaha to sponsor watershed projects. <br /> <br />Effect on Water Supply In Proiect Area <br /> <br />The proposed project consists mainly of levees and would not affect the water supply In <br />this area. <br /> <br />5-2 <br /> <br />. <br />
