Maintenance and Replacement <br /> <br />The operation and maintenance of this addItion would be the responsibi lity of the Mirage <br />Flats Irrigation District. Operation, maintenance and replacement of the recreation and <br />fish and wi ldllfe facilities would be the responsibility of a state agency. <br /> <br />Loca I I nterest and Support <br /> <br />Local Interest in this project has developed due to a lack of an adequate water supply to <br />serve present project lands. The Mirage Flats Irrigation District Board requested the Bureau <br />of Reclamation to complete the feaslbi Ilty Investigations at the earliest possible date. The <br />district also supported requests for Congressional approval of funds and cooperated In the <br />investigation program. <br /> <br />Exlstlnq Resource Development In the Area <br /> <br />The existing Mirage Flats Project irrigates 11,662 acres.
