,
l L ;1(:

MEMORANDUM

Colorado Water Conservation Board
Department of Natural Resources
Daries C. Lile, P .E.
Director

TO:

IS-Mile Reach Group

FROM:

Randy Seaholm
Andy Moore

DATE:

July 16, 1997

SUBJECT:

Revised StateMod Results for the C Scenario

Please [md attached tables containing selected results from StateMod for the C Scenario. Tables are
included for selected gages in the Colorado River basin; end-of-month storage for major reservoirs in
the basin; and miscellaneous diversions of significance, including transmountain diversions.

These results supersede those dated July 3, 1997, and handed out at the July 7, 1997, meeting.
Comments from the meeting resulted in a couple of changes in the model. Additionally, as per the
group's request, the following tables have been included for each gage, reservoir, and diversion: historic
values; modeled values; difference (hiSloric - modeled) values; and percent difference values. Also,
average cfs values for the top of the IS-Mile Reach (the fish flow demand node in StateMod) have been
included. (Note that there are no "historic" values for the top of the IS-Mile Reach, so there are no
historic or difference tables for this point.)

Revised graphs have also been included to replace those previously distributed: Colorado River near
Cameo; Colorado River near Dotsero; Fryingpan River near Ruedi; Ruedi Reservoir; Blue River below
Green Mountain Reservoir; and Green Mountain Reservoir. The differences of modeled from historic
values have also been included on the graphs. Please note that for some of the graphs (Fryingpan near
Ruedi, Blue River below Green Mountain Reservoir, and Green Mountain Reservoir) the differences are
plotted on a secondary y-axis (shown on the right-hand side of the graph). This was done so that the
difference plot would be separate from the others and therefore more readable.

CWCB will now proceed with the C I Scenario as previously discussed. Please contact us if you have
any queslions or comments.
