The Taylor Draw Reservoir will be the initial stage <br />of the Range1y Project and is described in detail in the following <br />paragraphs, <br /> <br />A. Location <br /> <br />The proposed Taylor Draw Dam and Reservoir Project is to be <br />located on the White River approximately five miles east of Range1y, <br />Colorado (see Map 1), The dam will be about 100 feet upstream from <br />the confluence of Taylor Draw with the White River. The project is <br />located in the northwest corner of Rio Blanco County, which is in the <br />State of Colorado's Planning and Management Region 11, The service <br />area of the project will include areas downstream from the dam site, <br />such as the Town of Range1y, various industrial areas and agricultural <br />lands near Range1y, as well as other industries upstream (or southeast) <br />of the project and in the Piceance Creek basin. <br /> <br />Water Users Association No.1, the sponsor of the project, is a <br />subdistrict of the Colorado River Water Conservation District, a body <br />corporate and politic which was organized in 1937 under the laws of <br />Colorado. <br /> <br />Other dams and reservoirs have been considered in this vicinity <br />as parts of the Range1y Project, <br /> <br />I-1 <br />
