The Taylor Draw Reservoir will be the initial stage
of the Range1y Project and is described in detail in the following
paragraphs,

A. Location

The proposed Taylor Draw Dam and Reservoir Project is to be
located on the White River approximately five miles east of Range1y,
Colorado (see Map 1), The dam will be about 100 feet upstream from
the confluence of Taylor Draw with the White River. The project is
located in the northwest corner of Rio Blanco County, which is in the
State of Colorado's Planning and Management Region 11, The service
area of the project will include areas downstream from the dam site,
such as the Town of Range1y, various industrial areas and agricultural
lands near Range1y, as well as other industries upstream (or southeast)
of the project and in the Piceance Creek basin.

Water Users Association No.1, the sponsor of the project, is a
subdistrict of the Colorado River Water Conservation District, a body
corporate and politic which was organized in 1937 under the laws of
Colorado.

Other dams and reservoirs have been considered in this vicinity
as parts of the Range1y Project,

I-1
