Introductian

At its July meeting, the Board asked that I infarm the Omaha
District, Carps af Engineers, that it was mast anxious to. have
the Corps reach a final determinatian an the availability and
allacatian af space in Bear Creek Reservair far water
canservatian starage purposes. The Board also. proposed that it
take the respansibilityfar bringing tagether interested parties
to. resalve issues concerning the allacatian of any available
space.

AS I reported at the September meeting, the Corps indicated
in its respanse to. the Baard that a final determinatian on the
availability and allacation af space was awaiting the campletion
af the Carps' Denver Tri-Lakes System Operatians Study. Since
the study was nat campleted priar to. the September Board meeting,
no. further action was taken at that time.

Discussian

We have just this week received preliminary results af the
study fram the Carps. Hawever, a complete report and final
analysis is still being prepared and we have a number of
questians about the use and interpretation of the informatian
received thus far. As a consequence, it will not be passible far
the staff to. prepare a thoraugh analysis and discussian af the
study's results far the Baard meeting.
