EstimatV~d Conservation Benefits.

Estimations of total annual and average conservation benefits,

measured in terms of additional water supplies of too Arkansas River to

become available f'or inoreased diversion and use in the two States through

operations of the Caddoa project, have not been made, and are not requir-

ed, in oonnection with the plan of operation and administration herein pro-

posed.

However, at a later date, mElll a correoted initial capacity table

has been prepared and released by the War Department, Corps of' Engineers,

a reservoir operation study is oontemplated, l:e.sed on the adopted plan of

operation and administration, whioh will disclose the approximate extent

of annual and average oonservation benefits. together with related infor-

mation, ino luding the amounts of impounded supplies lost by evaporation.

the quantities spilled from the irrigation pool or released from the flood

pool inoident to flood damage prevention operations, and the probable rates

of siltation as affecting the useful life of the irriGation pool.

In general, it is known from previous operation studies, based

on various other assumed plans of operation, toot suoh oonservation bene-

fits will fluotuate widely with variations in climatic conditions.
