F., or about 70 <br /> <br />percent, in the average summer season, and 252,400 A.F., or about ,0 per- <br /> <br />cent, in the average winter season), were oompiled mainly from daily re- <br /> <br />ports of the Division Engineer of Irrigation Division No.2. State of Colo- <br /> <br />rado, issued in cooperation with the Arkansas Valley Ditoh Assooiation. <br /> <br />Names of the Colorado ditohes are showa in a footnote on the <br /> <br />said tabulation, and inolude all ditches lOCated along and diverting from <br /> <br />the Arkansas River in Water Districts 17 and 67, and all those along and <br /> <br />diverting from the ArkanSaS River in Hater District 14 e::oeptl (a) the <br /> <br />ditches supplying tro City of Pueblo Hater Horks, which are excluded be- <br /> <br />oause their diversions, for municipal purposes, do not reflect variations <br /> <br />in supplies available for irrigation, and, being largely non-consumptive <br /> <br />in charaoter, are automatically included in the totals when the return <br /> <br />f'lows therefrom are rediverted by dowastream irrigation ditches; and (b) <br /> <br />the Collier ditch, which is excluded because its record is inoom,?lete, <br /> <br />and its diversions involve uncertain proportions of drainage interoep- <br /> <br />ticns and river water, and a.re minor in total amount. <br /> <br />The said aggregate diversions include waters diverted from the <br /> <br />river for both direot applio,tion and storage, as reported at officia.l <br /> <br />measuring stations. Surfaoe runoff and drainage waters interoepted by some <br /> <br />ditches below their official measuring stations are largely tmreported and <br /> <br />unrecorded, end are herein disregar ded.
