These measures can provide solutions to . <br />problems such as: flood control, municipal water supply, recreation developments <br />critically eroding areas, land drainage and irrigation. <br /> <br />Individual measure plans are developed for the measures listed above and all type" <br />except critical area treatment plans must be economically justified. These mea- <br />sures must be planned in accordance with the requirements of the National Environ. <br />mental Policy Act and the Soil Conservation Service's guidelines for planning <br />water and related land resource projects. <br /> <br />RC&D measures are described in the narrative under Resource Conservation and <br />Development Projects immediately following the RC&D area in which they are locate <br />In this report only those measures which are directed towards solving more comple <br />water and land related resource problems are included. <br /> <br />vii <br />
