<br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />under control for industrial uses for some years, and there <br />h2S been no demand for a different type of development which <br />CQuld be satisfied, Thus, the area is shut off to public <br />traffico <br /> <br />One gravel operator is completing construction of a golf <br />course at the approximate vicinity of Ken Caryl Road, extended, <br />west of the Platte Rivero This is partly in conjunction with <br />this operator's theo~J that reclaimed gravel lands, in which <br />the topsoil has been graded back into the excavation, have a <br />residual use as a recreation area, and therefore a value over <br />and above that of a played-out gravel pit. <br /> <br />The new Chatfield Dam and Spillway will be located at <br />the extreme south end of the outlined neighborhood sector, <br />and County Line Road is already in the process of being <br />constructed as a replacement for that portion of Plum Creek <br />Road and Platte Canyon Road which are scheduled to lie within <br />the permanent conservation pool. The construction of this <br />dam, of course, is the reason that a project of widening and <br />in~)roving the Platte River channel can be undertaken. <br /> <br />-5- <br />
