<br />000573 <br /> <br />BUDGET AND FINANCES <br /> <br />The Western Go v ern 0 r s' Conference res 0 1 uti 0 n Authorizing the: <br />formation of the Western States Water Council limited t he annual: <br />budget to $150,000, with each member state contributing equally'; <br />thus making each state's share $13,636. In late 1965, the Council. <br />approved a budget of $55,000 for the remainder of FY 1966, making' <br />each state's share $5,000. <br /> <br />All eleven member states paid their $5,000 assessments for FY'66, <br />and' in J u 1 y 1966,. the Council approved a budget for FY'67 of <br />$150,000, with the understanding that unobligated funds at the end <br />of FY'66 would be carried 0 v e r to FY'67 and the member states <br />assessed equally for the difference. <br /> <br />The unobligated balance on June 30, 1966, was $27,663, which, <br />when deducted from the $150,000 budget, resulted in an assessment <br />to each member state for FY'67 of $11,121. Statements of revenues <br />and expenditures for FY'66, and the first half of FY'67 are presented <br />in Annexes 5 and 6. <br /> <br />As of.
