G. Robson, is complete with detailed <br />hydrologic maps and chemical analyses, describes the hydrologic system <br />and ground-water quality in the vicinity of the waste-disposal areas. <br /> <br />Prepared in cooperation with the Metropolitan Denver Sewage Disposal <br />District and the Colorado Geological Survey, the report notes that only <br />5 of 53 of the wells sampled in the area contain water that has been <br />markedly degraded by the waste-disposal activities. One well sampled is <br />near the base of buried refuse in the landfill, two wells are located <br />downgradient and near sewage-sludge burial areas, and two wells are <br />located near stagnant surface ponds. <br /> <br />S. G. Robson, author of the report, said: "Water-quality degradation at <br />this time is confined to localized areas of the alluvial aquifer and <br />there is no evidence of water-quality degradation in the deeper bedrock <br />aquifers.
