INTRODUCTION

This volume (II) contains copies 9f comments rec~ived by the Bureau
of Reclamation from Federal, State and local entities and from
individuals on the March 5, 1976, draft environm~ntal statement on
the Colorado River Water Quality Improvement Program. The comments
appear with separate replies which have been prepared thereto,
where required or appropriate. All letters are listed in the table
of contents in alphabetical order by Federal, State, and local
entities and private individuals.

Volume II also contains a summary of comments and replies presented
orally or in writing for inclusion in the official proceedings of
the public hearings that were held in Vernal, Utah; Price, Utah;
Grand Junction, Colo.; Las Vegas, Nev.; and Blythe, Calif., on
April 27, 28, and 29 and May 4, 6, 1976, respectively. These com-
ments and replies are listed in the table of contents in chronolog-
ical order.

Any changes, reV1s1ons, or additions to the draft statement prompted
by the comments and replies contained herein are reflected in the
Final Environmental Impact Statement, Colorado River Water Quality
Improvement Program, Volume I.
