Final On-Line help that documents how to navigate the GUl with examples. <br /> <br />Task 9 Develop User PreferencefProgram setup functionality <br />Responsibility: RTi <br /> <br />Objective: Develop the following seven (7) user preferences: a Network Settings option, <br />Daily Refresh Data, a Map option, a Time Interval option, a Water District Filter option, <br />Files Locations option. and Run-Time options. <br /> <br />Approach: <br /> <br />9.1. Options GUI in this task. the Options GUI will be developed as a static tabbed <br />dialog similar to that used in MS Word. The Options GUl will be used to detlne the <br />default variable used in the CWRA T application. The Options GUI is reached via <br />selecting the 100ls I Options menu item on the main menu bar. It will include tabs <br />for the Network Settings, Daily Refresh Data, Map. Time Interval, Water District <br />Filter. Files Locations, and Run-Time. <br /> <br />9.1.2. Network Settings The Network Sellings option (similar to figure 9.1.1.) is <br />reached via selecting the 100ls I Options menu item on the main menu bar and <br />selecting the Network Settings tab. Once the GU! is opened, the user will be able <br />to view/edit CWRAT server IP address and the user's login name. The following are <br />the descriptions of the elements of the GUI: <br />Network Connection group box: The user must select their connection type. <br />Direct Connection radio bullon: <br />Dial-Up Connection radio button: <br />Dial-Up Application edit box: The dialer application name and location. <br />Browse button: Allows the user to visually select the program. <br />CWRA T Server edit box: The user must enter the lP address of the server. <br />User Name edit box: The user must enter their login name. <br />OK button: Accepts and stores user preferences. <br />Cancel button: De-activates GUI without saving preferences. <br />Help bullon: Provides a description of the screen. <br /> <br />c :\w\crdss\scope\phlll b\scope.doc <br /> <br />21\9/97 - \5 <br />
