<br />..... <br />~ <br />C-" <br /> <br />.... <br /> <br />c. <br /> <br />Studies performed by the Commission staff indicate that the Juniper-Cross <br />Mountain project appears economically favorable for development. <br /> <br />Complete regulation of the natural discharge of the Yampa River is not feasible <br />due to the restrictions on the maximum elevations of the Juniper and Cross <br />Mountain reservoirs. Therefore, some water would be spilled during wet years. <br />Approximately 6 percent of the Project's total potential energy generation <br />would be lost due to the spill. Water exports from the basin would be likely <br />to increase in the future. However, withdrawals of the water from the Yampa <br />River upstream from Juniper Reservoir are expected to have only minor influence <br />on the project. <br /> <br />ix <br />
