HCMeVer , <br />all the diversion sites were visited ana the structures checked for <br />accuracy of ronstruction w:lrk by a a::robined group of State and USBR <br />persormel. <br /> <br />'!Win lakes' EKchange <br /> <br />On July 22, the '!Win Lakes Reservoir and Canal Canpany began delivering <br />water into the roaring Fork River drainage in exchange for water in the <br />Fryingpan-Arkansas Project East Slope storage system (Exhibit 3). The <br />exchange i'ollCMed the operating criteria as shC7NIl. in Appendix B. The <br />r\.lIX)ff season was detennined to be a nopnal runoff year and settings <br />made in conjunction with the flow of the gagil1g station "Roaring Fork <br />River above Difficult Creek". Turquoise Lake <br /> <br />On September 30, 1981, 90,000 acre-feet of water was in storage in <br />Turquoise Lake. Homestake Project imported approximately 19,600 acre- <br />feet of water through the Homestake Tunnel prior to the spring runoff. <br />Of this arrount, the project stored 11,280 acre-feet for regulation in <br />Turquoise Lake. In addition to the Homestake imports, Busk-Ivanhoe <br />imported approximately 6,800 acre-feet pf water through the Carlton <br />Tunnel throughout the year, and the project imported about 75,210 acre- <br />feet of water through the Boustead Tunnel during the rronths of May <br />through AUguRt. <br /> <br />. 3 <br />Releases into Lake Fork: Creek were made at the rate of 15 ft Is or <br />natural flCM, whichever was less, with all other water being released <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />6 <br />
