An agreement between the Kaiser Company and the District, dated January 1, 1947. provides for the use by the Company of the District access road to Eagle Mountain pumping plant and a pro- ration of the maintenance expenses of the road in proportion to use_ The agreement also provides for use by the Company of the District's Pinto well located about 2 miles north of Pinto siphon and permits the construction of a pipe line and telephone line from the well along District rip:ht of way _ Work was completed by the Company on the Pinto well pipe line and this work was inspected by District forces_ The Kaiser Company Is also constructing a rail- road a'lld telephone line between its mine and the Southern Pacific Railroad at Salton Sea_ The crossing of District rights of way and the construction of the railway over the aqueduct are covered under an agreement between the Company and the District dated June 6, 1947. The crossing over the cut-and-cover conduit section of the aqueduct. made by means of a steel plate girder bridge with concrete abutments. was completed in April 1948.
