<br />Dams and Reservoirs
<br />
<br />The central features of the project will
<br />be McPhee Dam and Reservoir, 10 be con-
<br />structed on the Dolores Rl'..er about 10
<br />miles downstream from the town of
<br />Dolores. The dam will rise some 270 feet
<br />above the Dolores streambed. will be 1,300
<br />leel from side to side, and will create a
<br />381.100-acre-loot reservOir behind It.
<br />Smaller. but also important. is Monu-
<br />ment Creek Dam, to be localed about 1
<br />mile northwest of the town of Dove Creek.
