Savery
Reservoir will be constructed on Savery Creek approximately 17 miles north
of Savery, Wyoming. Surplus flows of Savery Creek will be stored in the
reservoir and released into the stream channel for conveyance to irri-
gation diversion points at lower elevations. About 7 miles below the
reservoir, the Dolan Mesa Diversion Dam will divert water into the Dolan
Mesa Canal for delivery to full service lands on Dolan Mesa. Project
waters flowing past t~e diversion dam will supplement the present irri-
gation supply along Savery Creek and the Little Snake River below its
confluence with Savery Creek in both Wyoming and Colorado. Present
diversion and ditch systems will be utilized to distribute this supple-
mental water. In accord with Wyoming fishery recommendations, minimum
flows in Savery Creek from the reservoir to the diversion dam will be
15 second-feet and below the diversion dam 10 second-feet will be main-
tained. About 1,500 acre-feet of inactive storage in the reservoir
will be provided specifically for fish. wildlife, and recreation.

The Pot Hook Reservoir will be constructed on Slater Creek about 1 mile
south of Sla,ter, Colorado. Surplus flows of Slater Creek will be stored
in the reservoir and released into the Pot Hook Canal. The westward
flowing canal will provide irrigation service to predominantly full
service lands south of the Little Snake River in both Wyoming and Colo-
rado. Two major laterals branch from the main canal. The Willow Creek
Lateral will serve lands along Willow Creek and south of Baggs between
the existing Westside Ditch and the state line. The second major
lateral begins at the terminus of the Pot Hook Canal and serves lands
in the west extremity of the project. Nearly 34,000 acre-feet of
inactive storage will be provided in Pot Hook Reservoir for recreation.
fish, and wildlife enhancement.

ADMINISTRATION: (Jointly)

Colorado - Pot Hook Water Conservancy District organized June 4, 1960
l~oming - Little Snake River Conservancy District organized Sept. 24. 1959 I
