<br />Abiquiu. Altitude of gage is 6,040 ft (from river-profile map and topographic map).
<br />Drainage area.-.Z,147 sq mi of which about 100 sq roi is probably noncontributing.
<br />Average discharge.~-12 years (1926~73). 368 cfs (266,600 acre-feet per year).
<br />Extrernes.-M1961-73: Maximum diSCharge, 2,990 cfs July I, 1965 (gage height, 6.69 ft);

<br />Rernarks.--Records good except those for winter months, which are fair. Flow regulated by
<br />Heron. El Vado. and Abiquiu Reservoirs. Diversions above station for irrigation of about

<br />400 ft downstream from bridge on State Highway 4, 1.8 miles SOuthwest of San I1defonso
<br />Pueblo, 2.5 miles downstream from Pojoaque River, and 6.8 miles west of Pojoaque. Datum of
<br />gage is 5,488.48 ft above mean sea level, datum of 1929. Prior to May 19, 1904, and July 25
<br />to Oct. I, 1904, staff gage at site 180 ft upstream at datum 2.02 it lower.
<br />Drainafe area.--14,300 sq mi, approximately (includes 2,940 sq mi in closed basin in San Luis
<br />Val ey, Colo.).
