These ponds are
good aquatic habitat and have a substantial rish population.
12. Minor tributarie~,-~Jones Guloh, Fiddler Creek, and Taylor
Gulch are tributaries to the East Fork or the Eagle River and Piney
Creek. Beoause or intermittent flow and steep slopes they ha've little,
if' any, rishery value.
Utilization
13. Use on the Eagle River is light in the canyon seotions, since
aocessibility to the canyon bottom is rather dirrioult in most places
and suitable oampsites are limited. More aocessible reaohes or the
river reoeive moderate to heavy use. On the East Fork or the Eagle

River rishing use is moderate, stemming particularly from army person~

nel at Camp Hale. Fishing pressure on Piney Creek and its beaver

ponds is light to moderate. Jones Gulch, Fiddler Creek, and Taylor

Guloh are not rished.

Erre~ or Project

14. The rlow or the Eagle River will be reduced as a result or

diversions rrom its tributaries. or these, the East Fork of the Eagle

River and Piney Creek will surrer depletions in now which will reduce

their value as trout habitat. Jones Gulch, Fiddler Creek, and Taylor

Gulch, having little or no rishery value, will not be signirioantly

arrected. However, the reduction in their flows will be detrimental

to the rishery or the Eagle River ir its rlow is also severely de-

pleted by other diversions.
