The purpose of this project is to provide an estimated aver- <br />age annual 64,000 acre-feet of water for muniCipal and agricultural use. <br />Colorado Springs and Pueblo are two potential municipal users of the <br />diverted water, <br /> <br />ltocation <br /> <br />2. The project area will include portions of three counties on <br />both sides of the Continental Divide in centr,al Colorado. Project <br />works will be located in the southeastern corner of Eagle County and <br />in the northeastern corner of Pitkin County on the western slope. 'On <br /> <br />the eastern slope, the looation of project works will be in north- <br /> <br />western Lake County. <br /> <br />Pro ieot Features <br /> <br />3. '1'hEl Eagle-.Arkansas project will divert water from the East <br />. Fork of the Eagle River - Piney Creek watershed into Tennessee Creek. <br />Headgates located at points on the East Fork of the Eagle River, Jones <br />Guloh, Fiddler Creek, Taylor Guloh, and Piney Creek will divert water <br />into the Eagle-Arkansas conduit.
