ww

On-site studies will be conducted in a mobile laboratory
concurrently with the in situ studies. The larvae will be held
in water and fed plankton collected from the site. The test
water will be renewed daily with composited water collected as
described above. The plankton will be collected and fed to the
fish as described above. Groups of larvae will be stocked into
replicate vessels filled with site water, A sample of larvae not
used in the tests will taken for selenium residue analysis. The
fish will be tested for 30 days. Mortality will be monitored
daily and the surviving fish will be measured for total length
and weight. The surviving fish will then be saved for selenium
(and other inorganics) residue analysis. Ammonia, conductivity,
dissolved oxygen, and pH will be measured daily in each test
vessel.
In addition to testing razorback suckers, larval
flannelmouth suckers and fathead Einnows may be tested at each
site to assess there potential as surrogates for razorback
suckers. These fish will be tested as described above.

8
