Summary of Identified Problems

Fifty problem areas have been identified in the seven Aggregated

Subareas (ASA's) within the eight States of the Arkansas-White-Red Region.

The map attached at the end of the problem description sheets shows

the general location of each area.

Each area involves complex multiple problem issues and functional

uses. Numbers of problem areas by States and ASA's are tabulated in

the following:

.- Number of Problem Areas Identified
Number of
Problem Areas b A22re2ated Subareas
State Identified 1101 1102 1103 1104 1105 1106 1107
Arkansas 11 3 6 2
Colorado 3 2 1
Kansas 5 i 3 2
,
Louisiana 1 1
Missouri 6 I 4 2
New Mexico 4 4
Oklahoma 13 2 4 2 4 1
Texas 7 I 1 4 2
50 ! 7 2 6 14 7 8 6
:

All problems identified in these areas involve both the 1975-1985

and 1985-2000 time periods, although partial solutions may occur in one

or the other time periods. Accordingly, only one problem area descrip-

tion sheet has been prepared with checks shown in both time periods.

s.
