<br />The "1972 OBERS Report" containing baseline projections of population and
<br />economic activity to the year 2020 has been finalized.. It is in the process of
<br />being printed, and is scheduled to be distributed during November of this year.
<br />
<br />With the completion of this activity at hand, the Water Resources Council is
<br />now considering the scope and direction of future OBERS activities. The
<br />National Programs and Assessment (NPA) Division and the inter-agency NPA
<br />Committee of the Council have been assigned the reponsibility of developing a
<br />"Recommended OBERS Action Plan" to guide future OBERS activities. This
<br />plan will be reviewed by the Council of Representatives in December of this
<br />year.
