Gl:N9n'a" <br /> <br />COLORADO RIVER BOARD OF CALIFORNIA <br />170 FArRMONT AVENUE, SUITE 100 <br />GLENDALE, CA. 91203.1035 <br />(818) 543.4676 <br />(818) 543-4685 FAX <br /> <br />~",... <br />~--'.~. i~l, <br />t\;o. . >" <br />...,,~{/ <br /> <br />NOTICE OF BOARD ACTION <br /> <br />Date: April 16, 2003 <br /> <br />To: Interested Parties <br /> <br />Subject: Motion of the Colorado River Board ofCalifomia at its April 9, 2003, Meeting Regarding <br />Support for Implementation of the Quantification Settlement Agreement <br /> <br />The Colorado River Board of California (Board), by unanimous consent with Mr. Gewe abstaining, took <br />the following action at its April 9, 2003, Special Meeting; <br /> <br />Upon the motion of Mr. Fisher and seconded by Mr. Bond, the Board expresses its resolve to <br />support implementation of the revised Quantification Settlement Agreement, dated March 12, <br />2003, including action by the State legislarure to appropriate $200 million from Proposition 50 <br />bond proceeds, or other funds, to support implementation of the Quantification Settlement <br />Agreement and to pass legislation reinstating provisiorn of Senate Bill 482 which will facilitate <br />execution of the Quantification Settlement Agreement by addressing Fully Protected Species and <br />Salton Sea issues. <br /> <br />The Colorado River Board is a state agency charged with protecting the interests and rights of the State <br />of California, its agencies, and citizens in the water and resources of the Colorado River System and to <br />represent California in discussions and negotiations regarding the Colorado River and its management <br /> <br />Gerald R Zimmennan <br />Executive Director <br />
