The Forest Service, with the Soil Con-
servation Service, will explore the feasibility of such plan of study.

It is assumed that the scope of your request pertains to all forest and brush-
covered lands in the basin, not only to the National Forests. If a narrower
ownership or geographic scope is intended please advise.

We hope to complete our initial discussions, and respond more definitively to
you within a short time.

Si ncere1y,

illj~

~R.
