<br />81-2 Meeting because of the large treasury balance. <br /> <br />3. Approval of Minutes <br />Minutes of both the 80-3 and 81~1 were approved as <br />circulated. <br /> <br />Mr. Jack Barnett, Executive Director of the Colorado River <br /> <br />Basin Salinity Control Forum, gave a presentation on the <br /> <br />background, functions and goals of the salinity forum. <br /> <br />Mr. Joe Harris of Camp Dresser & McKee Incorporated of <br />Austin, Texas discussed the High Plains Ogallala Aquifer <br />study being conducted by the Department of Commerce. Camp <br />Dresser & McKee, Black and Veatch and Arthur p. Little are <br />the contractors for the study with much of the state research <br />being done by the involved states. A draft report is <br />scheduled for December 1, 1981 and the fin~l report for <br />March 30, 1982. <br /> <br />Mr. Ed Gutetag of the U. S. Geological Survey, Denver, Colorado <br />presented a slide presentation on the Survey's Ogallala Aquifer <br />Study. The SUrvey study is a part of a larger program known <br />as the Regional Aquifer System Analysis program. The infor- <br />mation from this study is being used in the Department of <br />Commerce study. <br /> <br />Mr. Nick palacios of the Amarillo office of the Bureau of <br />Reclamation gave a presentation on the Bureau's Llano Estacado <br />Playa Lake Study and how it relates to the larger Ogallala <br />Aquifer study. <br /> <br />B-2 <br />
