Lyman and Henry's Fork - Manila Salinity Study
No change from last report.

WATERSHED PLANNING

ARIZONA:

Cottonwood Wash Watershed

CALI FORN I A:

A stream flow and water quality station is to be
installed on Cottonwood Wash near the proposed
structure site to gather needed data for planning.
SCS will pay for installation; USGS will install
and operate; and Navajo County will pay for
operation and maintenance. This station should
be operational by October 1, 1981.

St. David Watershed

The Multi-State Planning Staff is currently up-
dating the plan of work to comply with SCS policy,
principles and standards, NEPA, executive orders
and other applicable laws and regulations. The
staff has alsOl formulated seven alternative plans
based on local input and response from the sponsors.
These alternatives are currently being evaluated.
Alternative plans consist of both structural and
non-structural solutions to the watershed's problems.
An alternative that emphasizes national environmental
quality objectives is being formulated.

Tehachapi Watershed

The Secretary of Agriculture transmitted the pl an
to the Office of Management and Budget on July 17,'
1981.

Chickahominy~Moody Slough Watershed

A project acceptable .to the sponsors was formulated,
but further refinement of the economic documentation
will be necessary. Benefits and costs appear close,
so that the refinement could lead to changes in the
plan. Before this work is scheduled, discussions
will be held with the sponsors to find out if they
are willing to accept such changes.

Lower Silver Creek Watershed

Scheduling of the plan development phase was
started. Gathering of field data was begun.

-6-
