The large <br />('.nth.fill dam, with a nest length of 5.888 feel. would back up more than a quarter million dcre feet of water. With <br />completion of Dillon in 1963, woller SDon flowed through the Roberts Tunnel and down the North Fork of the <br />South Platte River into the Den....er area. <br />M.Hslon Ire,lImenl Plant was expanded twice in the 1961li to process the additional Woller from the Roberts <br />Tunnel Collection System. The latest increment of rapid sand facilities in 1967 increased Marston capacity by 100 <br />million gallons per day to a 260 million gallon lolal, completing the Marston plant 10 planned capacity. <br />In the northwest metropolitan area, the Moffat Treatmenl Plant wasexp.anded to its planned capacity in 1974 by <br />addition of fully automated filler beds. The computerized addition added 60 million gallons a day. bringing the <br />plant to its full 210 million gallon total. <br />The Kd~..ler Tre.ument Plant.
