Incremental authorized units mayor may not be c:ibnstfUcted <br />depending upon the amount of salt needed to be removed as indlcat~ in The <br />Joint Evaluation Report of Interior and Agriculture. <br /> <br />Appropriations authorized are $301,483,000 (October 1993) for Title II of;the <br />Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Projects under Public Law 93-320. The <br />comparable Federal obligation is $721,839,196 which exceeds the apAroprijttion <br />ceiling by more than the amount of contingencies included in the ollligallon. <br />Appropriate congressional committees will be advised of the llppropri4tion <br />ceiling status for this project. Legislation to provide additional appropriitloil <br />ceiling would be needed to,complete the total project as authorized. Cuirent <br />estimated commitments wiil be held within the existing ceiling.
