<br />LAKE HAVASU <br />(COLORADO RIVER) <br /> <br /> <br />Water Year 1990 <br /> <br />A t the beginning of water year 1990, the water le",l of Lake <br />H avasu. impounded by Parker Dam, 'W8S at an elevation of <br />about 447 feet with an acti", storage ofapproximately5OO,OOO <br />acre.feet. During October and November 1989, the reservoir <br />J1uctuated between elevations 446 feel and 447 feet. By March <br />1990, the reservoir was at an approximate elevation of445 feet <br />to provide vacant space for runoff from the drainage area <br />between Davis and Parker Dams. The water level was then <br />raised to an elevation of450 feet by the middle of May with an <br />active storage of about 610,()(X) acre-feet. Diversions from Lake Havnsu <br />for the Central Arizona Project \\'ere 779,orIJacre-feet during <br />the water year. <br /> <br />Space in the top 10 feet of Lake Havasu (about 180,000 <br />acre-feet) is reser",d by the United States for control of floods <br />and other uses, including river regulation.
