<br />San Juan-Chama <br />Water Accounting <br />Albuquerque Area Office <br />September 1997 <br /> <br />The natural inflow into Heron Reservoir during the month of September was <br />computed to be 145 acre-feet (AF) as shown in Table 3. There were 688 AF net San <br />Juan-Chama (SJ-C) losses, as shown in Table 2. There were 3406 AF of diversions <br />through Azotea Tunnel this month. <br /> <br />There was a total of 145 AF of Natural (RG) released from Heron, of which the <br />total was seepage. There were 5692 AF of SJ-C water released from Heron, of <br />which the total was sent to the City of Albuquerque (the City) in Abiquiu, this <br />is part of the City's 1997 allocation. <br /> <br />There was 2.22 inches of precipitation at Heron Reservoir, which is 130% of the <br />September (running) average of 1.70 inches. The monthly computations for Heron <br />Reservoir are summarized in Tables 1-3. <br /> <br />There were no SJ - C rel ea ses made from El Vado. <br /> <br />From Abiquiu, a total of 12093 AF was released; of which the total was borrowed <br />from the City by MRGCD for irrigation. <br /> <br />Total inflow into Nambe Falls Reservoir was computed to be 543 AF. Evaporation <br />loss on the reservoi r was 42 AF. Tabl e 4 summari zes San Juan-Chama water at <br />Otowi. <br /> <br />Estimated sediment deposition in the San Juan-Chama pools at Abiquiu and Jemez <br />Canyon Reservoirs, and Cochiti lake are presented in Tables 5A-5C. Storage and <br />evaporation of Rio Grande water in El Vado and Abiquiu Reservoirs are shown in <br />Table 6. <br /> <br />All data are provisional and subject to revision as final data are collected and <br />analyzed. <br />
