This category includes irrigated crop losses consisting of <br />the loss of income resulting from crop flooding or from the <br />interruption of water supply due to the destruction of irrigated <br />facill ties. <br /> <br />AIl:ri cultural <br />Agricultural damages include inundation losses to farmsteads, <br />fences, farm equipment, erosion and sediment to land, losses to <br />crops and cleanup. Crop damages were adJusted for seasonal <br />distribution of floods, cropping patterns, unit crop yields, <br />prices received by farmers, crop production investments, and local <br />production schedules. <br /> <br />AVERAGE AIDlUAL DAMAGES <br /> <br />Existin~ Conditions <br />The average annual damages in the lower reaches of the South <br />Platte River that are expected to occur downstream of the Narrows <br />damsite without the dam are presented in table 10. These values <br />are based on 1917 prices and flood plain condition. Current <br />normalized prices were used for value of crops in determining <br />fiood damages' to crops. <br /> <br />19 <br />
