.

.

Appendix A

Bear Creek Reservoir Accounting Procedure

1. The storable inflows (Table 1) and releases to the river
(Table 2) are provided by each entity.

2. Calculate the total monthly evaporation losses and pro-rate
between the permanent pool and the storage accounts as
shown in Table 3.

3. Enter BOM contents (1989 a.f.) storable inflows, releases
to the river and evaporation losses and calculate EOM
contents and elevation as shown in Table 5.

4. Calculate the status of each account as shown on the
individual accounting sheets, Table 6.

5. The storage account summary Table 7 summarizes the amounts
in storage held by each entity at the BOM and EOM and is
used to calculate the percentage allocation of evaporation
losses from the storage accounts.

6. The evaporation accounts summary, Table 8, summarizes the
contents of the evaporation loss accounts and is used to
calculate the percentage allocation of evaporation accounts.

7. The permanent pool summary, Table 9, summarizes the status
of the permanent pool and shows the status of each entities
evaporation make up requirements. In the example the state
has insufficient water to make up its evaporation losses in
April, however, inflows in May erase this deficit.

/bj

3168E
