A drainage area of 316 square miles <br /> <br />located in New Mexico is tributary to the San Juan River upstream from the <br /> <br />Rosa gaging station. The annual runoff from this area is estimated to equal <br /> <br />approximately the flow of uruneasured water leaving the State of Colorado. <br /> <br />The sum of the runoff as measured by the several stations is considered <br /> <br />a reliable estimate of the water originating in Colorado and leaving the <br /> <br />State. The annual runoff at each station and the total annual runoff as <br /> <br />measured at all the stations is given in Table II.
