A second public meeting is set from 7 <br />to 10 p,m. Thursday in Gunnison at the Dis- <br />, trict Court Room, 200 East Virginia. Tbe <br />final meeting is scheduled from 7 to 10 p,m, <br />Tuesday in Grand Junction in the Boettcher <br />Room at Mesa State College, <br />The meetings will address two related <br />proposals, including a fish ladder around <br />the Red/ands Diversion Dam and the Taylor <br />Park Water Management Agreement. <br /> <br />The plan would affect flows from the <br />three dams -Blue Mesa. Morrow Point and <br />Crystal- comprising the Aspinall Unit. The <br />proposed changes could mean a return to <br />water.supply conditions tbat existed prior <br />to construction of the dams. <br />Changes in flow operation could result in <br />increased water rigbts administration in <br />the Gunnison River basin, <br />The first meeting will be from 7 to 10 <br />tonight in Delta at the Bill Heddlcs <br /> <br />The proposed fish ladder would allow <br />endangered Colorado squawfish and razor.. <br />back suckers to bypass the dam and migrate <br />to historic areas of the lower Gunnison Riv- <br />er, The Taylor Park agreement would pro- <br />tect existing fisb, wildlife, recreational and <br />agricultural uses in the upper Gunnison, <br />basin. . <br />Public comment is welcome.
