.

MR. lA RSON: }les, that is right.

MR. EMIGH: H~s any revision been made to the Pine River Project and Extension
Report since the report was presented to us.?

MR. LARSON: No, we are waiting for the comments from'the State and other
interested parties.

JUDGE STONE: Are there any questions from the Southwestern Colorado Water
vonservation District?

MR. WAY: No questions.
MR. KELLY: No, questions.

MR. FINNEGAN: No questions.

"MR. D,~. L~WI1LIAMS: No questions.

HeTT: Does the Bureau have any potential reservoirs on the Upper San Juan
for Colorado?

MR. LARSON: There are several potential projects in the area to which you
refer, CrabtteeJ dQ any of your current investigations cover this area?

MR. CRABTREE: ,None are being investigated at present.

MR. Hm~TER: I=! there any possibility for the town of Cortez to tie into the
Mesa Verde Line from Jackson Gulch Reservoir?

MR. lARSON: The Park S~rvice wants to divert directly from the river. When
we showed them the conditions along our inlet canal they agreed that the line
should not follow tlje canal. I do not know what their present plans are. Mr. Kelly
might be able to elaborate.

MR. KELLY: The Park Servioe in a meeting stated thay had about $345Jooo
for the system. If the water oan be useo. in the valley to irrigate lands, this
will have preferenc$ over use of water by a municipality.

MR. ROSE: I dq not know of any formal application by Cortez for water.
Considerable study should be made before making a specific location for the line.

JUDGE STOiJE: I hagine that water for Mesa Verde and Cortez requires
considerable investigation.

MR. lARSON: A :Study was made several years ago by Mr. Hedderman. The
investigations now Will be mostly preconstruction. Is that right?

MR.
