C. 20037 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Fairchild: <br /> <br />Our annual report, required by Section 703.7 of the Council's <br />Rules and Regulations for grants to states under Title III of the <br />Water Resources Planning Act, follows. Our report conforms with <br />the format contained in Supplemental Instruction 2, revised May 26, <br />1971, and provides financial and other information on the progress <br />of water reso~rces planning activities in Colorado during the fiscal <br />year ending June 3D, 1974. <br /> <br />A. Fiscal year covered by report <br /> <br />July 1, 1973, through June 3D, 1974 <br /> <br />B. Summary of state P1anninq and Accomplishments <br /> <br />l. The Colorado Water Conservation Board through its <br />legislative authority is responsible for and coordinates all water <br />resource planning activities within the state. The Board is one of <br />the state agencies under the Department of Natural Resources and as <br />such coordinates its planning responsibilities with other state <br />agencies within the Department. The Board has cooperated and coor- <br />dinated its efforts with other state planning and development organi- <br />zations and special state agencies that have particular watershed or <br />river basin jurisdictions or functions; e.g., water conservancy and <br />water conservation districts. <br />
