In my
opinion, a one or two year study should be done of..Coal Creek
and should include studies of stream chemistry with emphasis
on ammonia, BOD, pH, and possible toxins. This study should
also include measurements of streamflow, quality and amount of
effluent from the point and nonpoiot sources, and studies of
the biotic composition of the creek. From such a study, it
would be possible to draw up a comprehensive plan outlining the
requirements for bringing the warmwater portion of Coal Creek
into the boundaries of the class 1 stream classification.

Sincerely yours,

/ ,...;- - //
/',.;CC~

//j ~/ #'
-"/:,,, ~ f{

william M.
