<br />The 1944 Water Treaty allocates to the United States: a) all of the <br />waters reaching the main channel of the Rio Grande from the seven <br />principal United States tributaries, designated by the Treaty; b) one- <br />third of the flows reaching the main channel from the six principal <br />Mexican tributaries upstream from Falcon Dam, designated by the <br />Treaty; and c) one-half of the flow in the main channel not otherwise <br />specifically allotted in the Treaty.
