Bent Canal <br />flows, has taken some historically irrigated land. About 600 acres have been removed from <br />agricultural production solely for city water supply needs, <br /> <br />ECONOMIC IMPACTS - The Cruikshank farm and water was originally purchased to assure <br />Iowa Beef of sufficient water if and when it located in Lamar. Because the Cruikshank farm is now <br />owned by the Division of Wildlife, it is lost from the tax roles. <br /> <br />SOCIAL IMPACTS - unknown <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS - The city provided approximately 600 acres and 50 shares <br />of water the Division of Wildlife for game refuge.
