<br /> <br />00138~1 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />Three new gaging stations have been installed in the Purgatoire <br />River basin to collect records for determining the effect of the proposed <br />Trinidad project on streamflow in the basin. The stations are located <br />on the Purgatoire River, Van Bremer Arroyo, and Luning Arroyo near Model, <br />Colorado. <br /> <br />Four new stations have been installed in the Colorado River basin <br />in connection with Bureau of Reclamation project studies. The stations <br />are on Fortification Creek, Clear Creek, Roan Creek, and the Colorado <br />River at New Castle. <br /> <br />The following reports have been released since the April 13 meeting <br />of the Board: <br /> <br />Water-Supply Paper 1805 "Ground Water in Huerfano County, Colorado," <br />by Thad G. McLaughlin was delivered from the printers on May 3. It may <br />be ordered by mail from the Superintendent of Documents, U. S. Government <br />Printing Office, Washington, D. C., 20402, or be purchased over-the-counter <br />from the U. S. Geological Survey, Public Inquiries Office, Room 15426, <br />Federal Building, Denver, Colorado. The price is $4.25. <br /> <br />Water-Supply Paper 1645 "Quality of Surface Waters of the United <br />States, Parts 9-14, 1959." <br /> <br />Water-Supply Paper 1946 "Quality of Surface Water for Irrigation, <br />Western States, 1962." <br /> <br />A paper by J. A. McConaghy entitled, "A Hydrogeologist Looks at the <br />1965 Colorado Ground-Water Law" was published in the April 1966 (Vol. 4, <br />No.2) issue of Ground Water. A limited number of reprints may be <br />obtained from the Geological Survey Ground Water Branch office, Room 260, <br />Joslin Building, Villa Italia Shopping Center, 7200 West Alameda Avenue, <br />Denver, Colorado. <br /> <br />The report on Surface Water Records of Colorado for the 1965 water <br />year will be sent to the printer about the middle of July and should be <br />ready for distribution by early August. <br /> <br />2 <br />
