<br />..... <br />c <br /> <br />00 <br />00 <br />C'~J <br /> <br />HAYSTACK RESERVOIR SITE <br /> <br />The reservcir site is " Ncuntain meadow in section 24, <br /> <br />T.9 S., R. 91 W., 6th P.M. on the middle fork of Willow Creek, <br /> <br />and a saaller sir,il'lr basin on theWlst fork of Willow Creek in- <br /> <br />nediately west of the larger ene. From the town of Silt, 35 niles <br /> <br />north on Colorado River a gravel road extends 20 niles tr)ward the <br /> <br />reservcirj beyond the gravel rO'ldwny, a narrow earth rO'id, very <br /> <br />heavy in wet weather, extends to within one-half mile of the dam- <br /> <br />site. <br /> <br />The reservoir site is within the Grand Mesa National <br /> <br />Forest, part of its area being patented land. It was surveyed in <br /> <br />September 1934 by ~lY S. Newkirk, for the State Engineer of <br /> <br />Colorado, who rre}:ared a D"l;J A,t a scale of 150' feet to the inch. <br /> <br />A filing Dap W'lS bter rrep'lred by A.
