S. Geological Survey <br /> <br />at the Santa Fe office in an "on the job" training program. <br /> <br />During this training period Mr. Miller was employed by the <br /> <br />State of New Mexico. <br /> <br />The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish rehabilitated <br /> <br />the road through Costilla canyon from the upper part of <br /> <br />the Amalia area to about two miles upstream from Latir <br /> <br />Creek during the summer of 1967. This portion of the road <br /> <br />to Costilla reservoir remained in satisfactory condition <br /> <br />during the 1968 season. The remainder of the road to the <br /> <br />reservoir is quite rough but passable. <br /> <br />The two-way radio systeiU between Costilla res~rv9~r and <br />I <br />the mobil unit, in the watermaster pickup, provided <br /> <br />\ <br />
