Exchange information on current research activities within the <br />two regions. <br />2. Discuss and formulate preliminary plans for regional research <br />on water issues that are emerging in our regions. <br />3. Update the listings of problems and research priorities for <br />the regions. <br /> <br />Arkansas <br />Kansas <br />Louisiana <br />New Mexico <br />Texas <br /> <br />Focus: The principal focus for the meeting will be brackish and saline <br />water development. Tom Bahr will provide an outline of a pro- <br />posed regional framework which identifies categories and examples <br />of research which could be undertaken on this topic. With this <br />framework as a point of departure the group can discuss the <br />desirability of preparing a multistate proposal for funding by <br />OWRT's Saline Water Research Program. <br /> <br />Output of Meeting <br /> <br />1. A decision on whether or not to prepare a regional proposal <br />on saline water development. <br />2. If the decision is no, another area(s) of possible regional <br />cooperation should be identified. <br />3. If the decision is yeS,a preliminary schedule and plan for <br />developing the proposal should be identified. <br />4.
