<br />OOZ"187 <br /> <br />B-5 <br /> <br /> <br />6. Executive Subcommittee Report <br /> <br />Mr, Laren D. Morrill, Deputy Director, Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board, Chairman, reported on the activities and actions taken at <br />their meeting on the previous day (16 August 1978). His remarks are <br />covered in the Minutes of August 16, 1978 Meeting of the PSIAC <br />Executive Subcommittee (see PART C - ATTACHMENTS). <br /> <br />As a result of the report by Mr. Morrill, the following action <br />was taken: <br /> <br />It was moved, seconded and approved by a voice vote that the <br />Chairman of the PSIAC should send a letter to the Secretary Interior, <br />Chairman of the Water Resources Council, on behalf of the states and <br />Federal agencies in the PSIAC, requesting an extension of time to <br />comment on the National Water Assessment. It was agreed that the <br />request should be that the review period be extended until 15 October. <br /> <br />It was moved, seconded and approved by a voice vote that the Water <br />and Vegetation Management Technical Subcommittee Report entitled <br />"Application of Remote Sensing in Water Management in the Pacific <br />Southwest" be printed and distributed. <br /> <br />It was moved, seconded and approved by a voice vote that the <br />Environmental and Recreation Technical Subcommittee be granted the <br />flexibility to consider five different projects (they are listed in <br />the Executive Subcommittee Minutes) during the coming year and decide <br />how far to pursue each project after they get into it. <br /> <br />It was moved, seconded and approved by a voice vote that the Chairman <br />of the PSIAC send a Resolution to Phil Macias thanking him for his <br />past support of and help to the PSIAC. A copy of Resolution and <br />Certificate is in the Minutes of the Executive Subcommittee. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />It was moved, seconded, and approved by a voice vote that the PSIAC <br />send one letter to the Water Resources Council requesting an extension <br />of time for comments on the Second National Assessment and a second <br />letter to the WRC requesting them to reconsider whether the National <br />Assessment is worth it before scheduling a third one. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />Technical Subcommittee Reports <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />Water and Vegetation Management Technical Subcommittee <br /> <br />Mr. Richard F. Sanders, Director, Area Planning and Development <br />Staff, Forest Service, Ogden, Utah, Chairman, reported on the meeting <br />of his Subcommittee held on 15 August 1978. A copy of the Minutes of <br />that meeting is in PART C - ATTACHMENTS. <br />
