Morrill <br /> <br />Enclosed for your information is a report on the results of the operations <br />carried out to comply with the agreement with Mexico entitled, "Permanent <br />and Definitive Solution to the International Problem of the Salinity of <br />the COlorado River," incorporated in Minute No. 242 of this Commission. <br />Operations began on June 25, 1974, immediately following approval of the <br />enabling legislation, Public Law 93-320. <br /> <br />The report presents the records which show that the operations were in <br />compliance with the agreement. The differential between 1) the average <br />salinity of the waters delivered upstream of Morelos Darn and 2) the <br />average salinity of the Colorado River waters that arrive at Imperial Darn, <br />for the first approximately six months, June 25-December 31, 1974, was <br />140 ppm (U.S. count), and for the first full calendar year, 1975, was <br />135 ppm (U.S. count). <br /> <br />Tne report-also-Gescribes developments relating to other provisions of <br />Minute No. 242. <br /> <br />If you have any questions, please advise. <br /> <br />Sincerely, <br /> <br /> <br />~ -~ ~j ..../lr: <br /> <br /> <br />J.
