These lands are frequently intersected bv drR.ws and <br /> <br />gull ies, such as Red Wash in Utah as shown, so that the result ing <br /> <br />potentially irrigable lands are quite broken and scattered. The <br /> <br />largest concentration of lands is on the Deadman Be.nch area near <br /> <br />the Colorado-Utah line with most of these lands being in eastern <br /> <br />Utah. <br /> <br />Sheep and cattle raising are the significant agricultural <br /> <br />enterprises, with sheep raising dpminating, such as shown here on <br /> <br />the north slope of Juniper Reservoir site. Oil explorations under- <br /> <br />way also on the north slope of the Juniper site and elsewhere, and <br /> <br />gilsonite and uranium mining, such as seen here north of Maybell, <br />-' <br /> <br />Colorado, where currently 1,000 tons of ore are processed daily, <br /> <br />are the predominant industries now established in the area.
