The abclity of <br /> <br />the irrigators to pay for t.he project, which is the li:lIit of their <br /> <br />direct payment, would total about eighteen and one-half million <br /> <br />dollars which is about 17 percent of the total cost allocated to <br /> <br />irrigation. The remainder of the costs would be paid by power <br /> <br />revenues from the upper Colorado River storage project as is the <br /> <br />case in all other participating projects, and a small portion <br /> <br />from tax revenues assigned to the Juniper Project. Payment on <br /> <br />the project construction costs from tax revenues to be collected by <br /> <br />the conservancy districts are usually based on a one mill levy on <br /> <br />the assessed values in the district boundaries. Since no districts <br /> <br />have been formed, the amount of revenue from this source has not <br /> <br />been estimated.
