Sideroll systems can be designed to serve all of the project lands. Layout of
these systems may restrict the size of the irrigated field to sane extent. The
45+psi pressure under mich water is delivered to the farm is adequate to operate
these systans.

Sideroll systans were designed by laying out the area to be irrigated on an
aerial photo. Care was taken to select an area mid! will minimize the length of
and pipeline mile taking advantage of the most favorable soils and field shape.
Pipeline sizes were determined using the quantity of flow and the dlange in
elevations. Elevation differences in the field were checked to determine their
effects on the sprinkler pressure. If needed, pipe sizes were adjusted.

Present and future erosion rates were checked. It was found that the
rotations including alfalfa will provide the needed protection to reduce erC6ion
rates to acceptable levels.

Total Cost - Sum of Pipeline Cost and Sprinkler Cost.
Cost Per Ac. - Total cost divided by acres served.
Ann. Cost Buy - 7yr. - The annualized cost to buy the systems
based on a 7 year loan at a 15 percent interest.
Ann. Cost Lease - The annualized cost to lease the systems for 7
years.
Ann. Cost Buy - 10 yr. - The annualized cost of the system
assuming a 10-year life and 15 percent interest.
